Genetic diversity analysis in apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.) germplasms using RAPD markers
Twenty four apricot genotypes with different geographic origins, maintained in the germplasm collections of Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture, Srinagar, India, were studied by means of RAPD markers. The aim of the study was to determine the genetic relationship amongst genetypes from different eco-geographical regions. Fourty three decamer primers were used in the study. All of them w...
متن کاملAllometric Growth Estimation of Prunus armeniaca L. Leaves from Danyore Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan
Prunus armeniaca L., apricot, is a member of family Rosaceae bears deciduous tree [1]. Still its origin is unclear among the researchers. In olden times it was known in America, then started to cultivate [2]. It is assumed that it may have originated in Northeastern China close to the Russian border. According to Morikian ES [3] it was known to Armenians which is supported by the discovery of i...

متن کاملPurification and Characterization of Latent Polyphenol Oxidase from Apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.)
Polyphenol oxidase from apricot (Prunus armeniaca) (PaPPO) was purified in its latent form (L-PaPPO), and the molecular weight was determined to be 63 kDa by SDS-PAGE. L-PaPPO was activated in the presence of substrate at low pH. The activity was enhanced by CuSO4 and low concentrations (≤ 2 mM) of SDS. PaPPO has its pH and temperature optimum at pH 4.5 and 45 °C for catechol as substrate. It s...
